In the SONG SETTING screen, the Song
Chain Play function can be turned ON, to automatically play
Songs consecutively and continuously.
- To access the SONG SETTING screen,
press the [FUNCTION] key and then select [B] SONG
SETTING.

- Alternatively, you could press and
hold the [DIRECT ACCESS] button, then press the [REPEAT]
button in the SONG section of the keyboard.

.
- In the SONG SETTING screen, press
the [I] button to select SONG CHAIN PLAY ON in the screen.
- You might also take a look at the QUICK START option.
If you turn this ON, when you power on your keyboard, IF
there is a floppy disk in the keyboard and IF there is a
MIDI song on that floppy disk, it will start playing.
Using Quick Start
The Song Setting page also has an option called QUICK START,
which can be set ON or OFF. Whatever you set it to, this setting,
like that for SONG CHAIN PLAY, remains set even if you turn
power to your keyboard off. It stays at whatever you set it
until you change that setting. The QUICK START feature will
automatically start playing the first song (alphabetically)
on the floppy disk in the keyboard.
Note that if you DO NOT want your keyboard to start up with
the HEARBEAT style, you can use this option to start with
a different style of your own choosing. Simply record a short
song (one measure or even one beat will do) using the style
you want to start up with. Save this song to a "startup"
floppy disk and name it so that it is the first song (alphabetically)
on the disk. Turn the QUICK START option ON. Now, when you
power on your keyboard, it will immediately start playing
this song which will set the keyboard to whatever style is
in that song. The song will end quickly and your keyboard
will be left set at the style used by that song.
